CNY has officially ended on 24 Feb 2013!!
Although CNY is 15 days, who wont want it to be longer?
Anyway, Let me bring you through my simple CNY celebration!!

~ another fast forward entry with loads of photos ~


#ootd for the 1st day of CNY
Dressed in my new shirt I bought from CottonOn for 40% off~
I bought 1 more jeans & 2 more skinny chino too =)



Golden fish at my uncle's place & they are soooo pretty!!
This CNY year is the snake year, but it isnt really that well for us.
So hope that seeing these pretty fish will bring me good luck!!!



Over the years, we always have a bowl of HengHwa meesua as a tradition.
the unique blandness coupled with cabbage taupok & mushroom makes it a must to eat!!
Lunch was over & next was a Chinese Chess battle among the cousins =)


Afterwards, We decided to drop by Gardens by the Bay, but it rained just as we alighted.
We tried to journey on further into the greenery, but it kept pouring heavier.
No choice, we gotta make our way back home for early rest~

...and it is 2nd day of CNY!!!

To many, CNY is gives the legitimate reason for them to gamble,
but I belong to one of those families that prefer catching up!!!
We talked about how each of us spent the previous & upcoming year =)

Catch up finish, must find games to play right??
Thus, my dear cousin brought a new card game from China...

#Three #Kingdom #Kill

This is an interesting game with a few different ways of playing,
but it requires the player to be proficient in Chinese to read the descriptions.



For one of the matches, I became KING & I chose CAOCAO!!
Behold my power as a ruler of the kingdom & expel all rebels + spies!!!



Our scaled down meal for the very first time & we still cant finish~
Normally, my mum will cook alot more dishes and also RICEE!!
This year was quite a relief as most of the dishes got cleared away, phew~~



and it is........ LOU HEI TIME~~
Sakae Sushi YuSheng with lots of SALMON SASHIMI~



EVERYBODY READY~~



All went over to my Aunt's place to have a seat while we digest
.........and eat some more new year goodies over all sorts of beer.
as for me, I had Somersby Apple Cider
Say it with me, Som-Mers-sBy



1 alcoholic drink with loads of laughter......
turned Red like a lobster in no time.......
we all head home despite the unwillingness to end our game..

I had project meeting with my Uni-mates.
Didnt have any plans for the day, but it was GREAT~~

#Megan's birthday, 15 - 16 Feb!!

As you can see from the pic, my friends love alcohol alot alot~~
They brought alot of them to the party, but there is no way we will down all of them.
We try to keep drinking at a fun level without having to hug toilet bowls to sleep =D



Party was over & we stayed on.....
Hope Megan had a great birthday celebration with us around~~
*must take good care of our gift for you, okay?*

Indoors, didnt sleep well on the floor coz the aircon was too cold.
Outdoors, also didnt sleep well coz mosquito was buzzing & ants crawling around.



BTW, I am not smoking in the picture.
My friends thought I was smoking coz of the toothbrush in my mouth.
I was just trying to burn the mosquito coil to shooo those bloodsuckers away!!

CNY Bai Nian + Room Warming @ my place, 17 Feb
This was an event I tried to pull together & I meant alot to me for people to come =D
and this was what I post for the event details....

hi, 大哥大姐，小弟小妹，朋友们，大家好！

after much effort, my room has been re-designed!!

DIY painted my walls and changed most of the furniture;

the credit goes to not just me, but my family as well~


so now...... during this CNY period,

i'm happy to invite all of you to my humble little room =)

it is filled with all my blood sweat tears,

but all that is lacking now is decorations with love!!!
ps: dont buy me exp stufff coz i wont know how to accept
* no pressure if you turn up without gift *

Main objective is to BAI NIAN!!!!
SO JUST COME TOGETHER WITH UR CLIQUE!!

any wall art / graffiti is gona be kept at minimal upon approval;
sooooo.......... only artist can draw on my wall.........
in this case, the best bet is Yongsheng hahaha~
* unless you all wana stay back late to trace pictures *

if you find urself alone under invited list,
do find ur +1 or more, then inform me!
for others with clique (you know who they are),
try to come in your clique!

Activities to be confirmed:

I was contented to have my SP-SD poly friends come BaiNian.
Great help with some CNY goodies which will otherwise be left untouched 
and a chance for me to share my childhood photos with my close friends


room-warming gifts that will be put to good use!!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!!

In preparation for this festival, I've decided to dye my hair....
At first, I was thinking more of a 'Rainbow' color;
Blonde base + (Blue, Turquoise, Purple) highlights
However, it was just too much to be able to afford... $150-$200? at least??
and I wasnt prepare for the massive hair destroying session or if I can pull it off.

soooooo........ I was thinking more of a subtle color, Ash Brown
but the hairstylist said it is hard to get that with my faded maroon color.



Thus, he wants me to go for a bleach before I can attain Ash Brown.

30 mins passed.... 

*why isnt the hairstylist washing away the bleach?*
*It will become very very bright if i dont wash it anytime soon!!*

Hairstylist: I cut this customer hair then help you wash, okay? very fast!!

10 mins passed again~~
- WASH OFF -

*erhem.... WHY SO BRIGHT!??*
since it is bright color again, let's just stick with it~~
I'm officially a CARROT now!!!!
Orange / Copper hair for CNY aint that bad
coz im seeing too much Red on the streets


PS: only $24 for the bleach & trim. All ready for CNY =D

According to Melly, this is a place that serves great brunch!!
At first glance, it fits in the mood of having a long lunch hanging out with friends.
The thought of having big breakfast as brunch on a windy breezy sunny day~~
Something that is we have been missing due to the rainy season of our little island =)

Kith cafe gives me a refreshing vibe for its fittings
& main thing is for people to chat over a cup of coffee!!
there is also tables outdoor for people to enjoy the breeze!
PS: the place is very small, but cosy for small chats.

pretty messy I would say.
it comes in a huge stack with no photos at all,
no colour to classify stuff on the same page into diff category
& not impressive coz it is A4 paper directly from a printer!!!
I flipped from the front to the back & ended up ordering from the 1st page~


I guess these toys meant for kids? coz no other purpose for adults?
However, here we are messing with them hahaha.. Who's the kid now!?
so if you have kids, these will keep them occupied while you have chats.
In any case that the toys start to lose their magic, bring out the IPAD~

I had this for brunch!!
In my opinion, I like my salmon raw as it is for its texture & acquired taste.
However, I was also kinda curious how it will turn out with the pasta

- smoked salmon, a popular appetizer
- black caviar, one of the most exp exotic food 
- linguine, my favorite out of all pasta
-accompanied with rich creamy sauce

all the ingredients went into a pot
Zucchini, Black Caviar...... and everything SALMON~~
Turns out, it didnt disappoint me one bit!!
no fishy smell, not too salty / creamy,
I held my hands high and bowed down to the
#smokedsalmonpasta

you can submit song requests & they will sing your song if you're the lucky one!!!
there is even have mini games to celebrate guests' birthdays.....

I'm not a fan of drinking, but this tower definitely caught my eye =)



BTW, they have a photo-booth at the entrance too!!!
so why not take photo if you're waiting for your table??
